A Young Woman's Dream
The Beginning

A Young Woman's Dream

AARAISH was founded in 2011 by Shivika Singh on passing out from the very prestigious Mayo College Girls School, Ajmer and Lady Shri Ram College For Women, New Delhi, was just 20 years old and  married into the erstwhile Payagpur Estate.

She found purpose in supporting  local craftsmen and women , through the age old  art  of Chikankari , Mukaish and Zardozi

The Inspiration at Home
My Roots

The Inspiration at Home

Shivika Singh’s mother, Rani Mandakini Prabha, ran a training centre in their estate palace grounds, in Shivgarh, where women learned the beautiful and intricate art of Chikankari. Growing up around these women, Shivika witnessed the patience, skill and love woven into every stitch. Their craftsmanship left a deep impression on her.

A Wider Platform

Taking Lucknow's Crafts Further

She wanted to provide a wider platform to the craftsmen—instead of taking Lucknow’s crafts further.

And so, Aaraish was founded.

Our Crafts

Heritage in Every Detail

20 years on, Aaraish has grown alongside Shivika. What began with Chikankari gradually expanded to include Zardozi, Mukaish and other traditional crafts, with every piece carrying the hands, time and stories of the artisans who create it.

More Than Clothing

More Than Clothing

For Shivika, Aaraish has never been simply about creating beautiful clothes. It has always been about keeping traditional crafts alive, creating meaningful work for artisans, and ensuring that the craftsmanship of Lucknow continues to be seen, valued and cherished.

My Journey

This Is Aaraish

Through exhibitions, showcases and personal interactions with customers across different cities and countries, Shivika has carried a little piece of Lucknow wherever she has gone.

What began as a young woman's wish to build something of her own, soon after entering a new family and a new chapter of life, has grown into a journey she feels deeply grateful to call her own.

This is Aaraish. And this is Shivika's story.

Love, Shivika
